A prayer about Opposition

When I seem to encounter opposition as I’m trying to do what God wants

Lord of heaven’s armies,

As I stay faithful to you, I know I can expect persistent opposition from those who don’t want to see your work succeed. Those who oppose you will never stop trying to oppose the work your people do for you. Spiritual adversaries won’t quit after one or two attempts to defeat me. This kind of opposition will be a lifetime struggle because it is a spiritual battle against the forces of darkness. O Lord, where will I find the strength to endure? When I encounter resistance, I begin to experience frustration and despair. O Lord, my hope is in you! You promise to supply me with all the strength I need. May I prepare carefully for the extended conflict ahead. Please give me patient determination and confident hope that victory belongs to you! When I face opposition, may I rejoice that I am living effectively enough for you that your enemies are taking notice. Then I can look at each battle as an opportunity to experience a divine moment of victory.
