A prayer about Listening

When I wish God would speak to me

Dear God,

You speak to me in many ways, but to hear you, I must pay attention. When I come before you daily, help me to use this special time to be still and to wait expectantly for you to speak. Teach me to pay attention, and help me to carve out times when I can listen to you. Don’t let me miss an opportunity for a lesson from you, the master teacher. Teach me to hear you more and more as I take time to pause and listen for your voice.

Be still, and know that I am God! Psalm 46:10
