A prayer about Flexibility

When I’m inflexible with my plans for my life

Dear Lord,

I find it very difficult to be flexible. I like control and order, and I always have a plan. But God, my spiritual walk seems to have come to a stop. I wonder if my plans have come to a dead end. I need a change. I need to be more flexible. First, God, I ask that you would help me evaluate my life to see if there is anything that I follow more closely than you. Even if it is an important part of my plan or daily life, I pray that you would help me to leave it behind and devote myself to you with all my heart. Second, help me to seek your timing and allow room in my life to change my plans. Wherever I am, whatever I do, I can do it with an attitude of service to you. Let me be eager to leave my plans and adopt yours. O God, I want to be flexible so my spiritual walk can commence once again. Prepare my heart for surprise moments with you as you guide me through life.
