A prayer about Crisis

When I want my response to a crisis to reveal my faith

Lord,

Too often a crisis exposes my unbelief and fear rather than my confidence in you. In spite of everything you have done for me in the past, I still have trouble trusting you to deliver me this time. The crisis I now see looks more powerful than the God I cannot see. Please allow your faithfulness in the past to bolster my faith that you will deliver me now. In this time of crisis, O God, motivate me to turn toward you. For when I look at you, I will learn from you and cling to you. How else can I make it through this difficult time with wisdom, grace, and peace? May this crisis convince me of your presence and empower me with your salvation so that my faith may be an encouragement to others.

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! Psalm 46:1-3
