A prayer about Consequences

When I am suffering the consequences of my actions

O God,

Forgive me for using the sharpness of my tongue to hurt my friend. It’s too late to undo the consequences. I cannot retract my words; they’ve done their damage. But now I have a choice to humble myself and ask my friend for forgiveness. Lord, I pray that you will redeem my foolishness and bring something positive from this situation.

Plant the good seeds of righteousness, and you will harvest a crop of love. Plow up the hard ground of your hearts, for now is the time to seek the LORD, that he may come and shower righteousness upon you. Hosea 10:12
