A prayer about Compliments

How can my compliments help others experience divine encouragement?

Dear God,

Why am I so stingy with my compliments? Even worse, why do I sometimes only compliment someone to receive a compliment in return? I know that genuine praise, from a pure and tender heart, can provide great encouragement to others. How often have I been affirmed by something that someone said? May I be such an encouragement in the lives of my family and friends!
