A prayer about Competition

When I seek success for the wrong reasons

Jesus,

I confess that my competitive nature and my desire for success can cause me to focus on pursuing my own goals. But I know that without you, Lord, I’ll never achieve anything of lasting value. Help me to channel my competitive nature into pursuing things that will last for eternity.

Whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out his special favor on me. . . . Yet it was not I but God who was working through me by his grace. 1 Corinthians 15:10
