A prayer about Change

When life takes a turn for the worse

Dear God,

Sometimes the changes in my life seem to be for the worse, and I get discouraged. When that happens, it helps to remember Joseph, who was sold by his own brothers into slavery, but who later became governor of all of Egypt and saved many people from starvation. The next time change makes me feel like I’m going to fall apart, remind me that even traumatic, unpredictable, and unfair changes will never trump your will. Help me to trust that you will take the bad situations in my life and turn them into something good.
