A prayer about Beauty

How can I learn to see God in the beauty around me?

Lord God,

One of the best ways to prepare my heart and mind for moments with you is simply to seek you in the beauty of your creation. The majesty of the mountains, the sound of falling rain, the smell of burning leaves on a beautiful fall day, the touch of a loved one, the taste of my favorite meal—your beauty is all around me, bombarding my senses. Help me not to become so busy or distracted that I miss those times when your beauty invades my life.

Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. Luke 12:27
