A prayer about Witnessing

When I consider how I can share God’s love with others

Almighty God,

You call me, along with all other believers, to share the privilege and responsibility of being a witness to your love. This scares me sometimes, but the truth is that to witness simply means to tell about something I have experienced. And what I have experienced—the transforming power of your love for me—is so wonderful that I want to invite others to experience it too. Teach me always to be ready to tell about how I met you and grew to love you. May I be bold and faithful in my witness, never ashamed or afraid to tell others about you. Guide me to the people who need to hear my story. Perhaps someday I will have the privilege of knowing that your work in my life caused someone else to turn to you. May it be so!

God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. So never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord. 2 Timothy 1:7-8
