A prayer about Unity

When I wonder if true unity is possible

Lord,

I want to live in unity with my family and my church, but we as individuals are so different from one another! Help me to remember that unity is not about everyone agreeing. Teach me, Lord, how to celebrate the differences you have created. As I develop relationships, may I learn how to take different opinions and direct them toward a shared purpose. Even when I disagree with others on the details, please show us how to unite around the goal of serving you.

Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. Ephesians 4:3
