A prayer about Testing

When I need God to test my heart

All-knowing God,

You know me inside and out—my thoughts, my words, my actions, my motives. Examine my heart to discover what I value most. O Lord, forgive me for often making you an afterthought, giving you a minimum of my time or energy. Purify my heart so that the way I spend my time will reflect how much I value you.

Put me on trial, LORD, and cross-examine me. Test my motives and my heart. Psalm 26:2
