A prayer about Seeking God

When God seems to be hiding from me

Lord,

Sometimes you seem so far away. Yet your Word assures me that you want me to know you, and you reveal yourself in many ways—through your creation, through your Word, and even directly in my heart. May I have the courage to seek you, even when I know that finding you means I will be radically changed. You have promised that I will find you, the only one worth seeking, the only one that satisfies.

My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “LORD, I am coming.” Psalm 27:8
