A Prayer About Sanctification
A prayer about Sanctification
When I need reassurance that God is still working in me
Father God,
I am clinging to your promise that you will finish what you start. You have saved me, taking me out of my sinfulness and despair and bringing me into relationship with you. Now you are sanctifying me, changing me slowly but surely from the woman I used to be to the woman you created me to be—you have started that process, and you will not stop. I am struggling right now, and I see my shortcomings far more clearly than the change you’ve effected. I’m well aware of my limitations, but may they never blind me to the promise that you will complete your work in me. I know that you can take my present insecurities and transform them into powerful opportunities to work in my heart. May I be malleable as you shape me, and may I patiently rest in your timing as you guide me to where I need to be.
God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. . . . Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. Philippians 2:13, 15
