A prayer about Quietness

When I wonder how times of quiet can help me

Father God,

You have blessed me with times that are free from pressures and temptations. Thank you for these quiet moments. I don’t want to waste them—use them to strengthen me for the trials ahead. Increase my self-discipline, endurance, and faith, that I may have the spiritual wisdom and commitment to honor you in the face of intense struggles.

This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: “Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength.” Isaiah 30:15
