A prayer about Praise

When I want praise to become my natural response to God’s presence

O Lord my God,

No human being can come close to comprehending your greatness. Your thoughts are far above my thoughts, and your ways are far above my ways. You are majestic and marvelous, and my natural response is praise. Just as people may burst into applause or cheers when a head of state or a celebrity enters a room, may my natural response when I enter your presence in worship be praise. Your Word tells me that you created the universe, yet you also provide for my needs. You are all-powerful and all-knowing, yet you also care about the details of my life. You alone are worthy of my highest praise! Indeed, when I consider who you are and all you have done for me, praise is my only possible response.

Let all that I am praise the LORD; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s! Psalm 103:1-5
