A prayer about Perspective

When I’ve become self-focused

Heavenly Father,

Sometimes I lose sight of you, and then my perspective on life doesn’t line up with what’s important and what’s not, and I start to think that everything revolves around me. That kind of self-focus leads me to frustration, selfishness, and dissatisfaction. Help me to remember that obeying you is the only way to keep an accurate perspective on life. Teach me that obedience keeps me focused on what is really important, leads me to your will, and gives me an eternal orientation that affects the way I live here on earth. I know that all I really need is what you supply in great abundance. Please give me perspective on my days and a greater desire to obey you as I see the rewards of obedience.
