A Prayer About Neglecting God
A prayer about Neglecting God
When I realize I’m neglecting God
Lord God,
I confess that I sometimes make excuses for why I can’t serve you. Maybe it doesn’t feel like the right time to start the practice of daily Bible study or to begin tithing. Or maybe I think I’m just too busy to stop a sinful habit or share the gospel with my non-Christian friends. But the reality is that it comes down to my priorities. If something is important enough to me, I will make time to do it. Please forgive me, Lord, for neglecting you and the things you ask of me. I’m making excuses, but really the problem is my stubborn heart and my fearful spirit. I want to make you my top priority—not just in my words but in my actions. As I do that, please open my eyes to see your active work and blessing in my life.
What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone? James 2:14
