A prayer about Mentoring

When I want to encourage godliness in a younger generation

Heavenly Father,

You have sent the Holy Spirit as my spiritual mentor. Through him, you help me to build a relationship with you, and you guide me into wisdom, maturity, and understanding. I am so thankful for this gift of mentoring, and I would love to use it to help others. If you have someone for me to mentor, please guide me to the right person. May I commit to building a relationship with another woman where I can share wisdom, life experience, and support to help her learn and grow. I’m not perfect, Lord, but that’s not what you ask of me. All you ask is that I focus on your faithfulness and share that with another—for your glory.

Teach the older women to live in a way that honors God. They must not slander others or be heavy drinkers. Instead, they should teach others what is good. These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God. Titus 2:3-5
