A prayer about Freedom

When I desire true freedom

Lord God,

It’s easy for me to define freedom as being able to do whatever I want. But I’ve tried that and it only led me back into slavery. I want genuine freedom, and the only way I will experience it is if I embrace the truth about my own neediness and your provision. I need you desperately. Overcome my sinful inclinations with your holiness, Lord. May I find true freedom when you fill my life with the goodness and fullness of your liberating love.

You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:32
