A prayer about Following God

When discipleship seems difficult

Father,

Following you is not easy. In fact, sometimes it seems that the more important a task is, the more obstacles I face. When you are leading me in a certain direction, give me the courage not to give up, even when the going gets tough. May I keep moving forward boldly with my eyes fixed on you. I know that you will strengthen my faith as I obey you.

Jesus said to his disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me.” Matthew 16:24
