A prayer about Faith

When I want to strengthen my faith

Father,

I know that I can’t increase my faith merely by my own effort. Faith is divinely inspired by your Holy Spirit, who often works through your Word. My faith grows as I read the stories of your work through people across the centuries and realize you can do the same through me. I need to believe even when I cannot see; after all, the strongest faith is not one based on physical senses but on spiritual conviction. I ask you to sharpen my “spiritual vision” so I can see the results of your work in my life and in the lives of those around me. Teach me to be more aware of your active presence in the world so that my faith will grow. I know that without faith, it’s impossible to please you.
