A prayer about Discouragement

When discouragement has sapped my motivation

Dear Lord,

I’m discouraged right now, and that discouragement has drained my energy and confidence. Even when outward circumstances threaten to crush me, Lord, please sustain me by giving me a strong sense of your presence, your call on my life, and your love for me. As I focus on these things, renew my sense of purpose and help me to move forward. Wipe away this discouragement and empower me to follow you with enthusiasm.

Since God in his mercy has given us this new way, we never give up. . . . For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. 2 Corinthians 4:1, 17
