A prayer about Crisis

When I’m struggling with crisis

Father,

I love you, and I’m trying to serve you with my whole heart—yet I’m facing a time of crisis, and it’s shaking me to the core. Sometimes I feel that doing your will should exempt me from this world’s trials. After all, even Jesus’ disciples seemed surprised when a dangerous storm threatened their lives while they were involved in your work. But even in their shock, they still knew where to turn for help: to Jesus, who was right there with them. You are with me, too! Just as Jesus awoke immediately when he heard the disciples’ cries for help, so you hear me through all the noise and distractions of the world. I call out to you, asking for your care and protection. Please break through my fears and calm my heart. Help me to rest in your presence, even in this crisis and even though the storms of life continue to rage around me.

Call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory. Psalm 50:15
