A Prayer About Confidence

A prayer about Confidence

When I need confidence to face life without fear

Dear God,

I want to find the confidence that comes from you. Sometimes my prideful self-assurance leads to boasting, and then I find myself full of fears—especially of being found out and embarrassed in front of others. But when I have the right kind of confidence, I have an inner assurance. I feel valuable to you, and I have a sure conviction of who I am. That kind of confidence does not come from pride; it comes from security in Christ. Thank you, Lord, for the security that comes from knowing that you have called me to belong to you. You equip me to work in your Kingdom by giving me skills and talents to carry out your purpose. As I do what you have called me to do, I have joy and assurance. I don’t have to be afraid. With you by my side, I can boldly set out to do your work, assured that I am within your will.

Blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. Jeremiah 17:7
