A Prayer About Complacency

A prayer about Complacency

When I am dulled by complacency

Lord,

Just as the Israelites became spiritually complacent when they were not threatened by enemies, so I become complacent when things are going well. As much as I hate facing struggles in my life, I know that trials are what keep me spiritually sharp and fully dependent on you. Remind me that my health, relationships, financial stability, and other earthly blessings can vanish in an instant. You are my only security.

Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you. Psalm 39:7
