A prayer about Circumstances

When I’m in difficult situations and need to experience God

Lord,

The more I wallow in the difficulty of unpleasant circumstances, the more I feel dragged under. I need you to rescue me! I reach out to you, knowing that when I do, you lift me up. You are with me always, and you have given me the eternal gift of salvation. How can I not respond to you with joy, even in my difficulties? Help me to focus less on my troubles and more on the joy, peace, and future that come from a relationship with you. Teach me to praise you in the midst of trials, and open my eyes to see your blessings.

Though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the LORD! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The Sovereign LORD is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights. Habakkuk 3:17-19
