A prayer about Busyness

When I am too busy with unimportant things

Dear Lord,

I want to be productive for your Kingdom, but so often I feel myself caught up in empty busyness. I’m rushing here and there; though many of the things I’m doing are good, I’m neglecting you and feeling that I have nothing left to give. Impress on my heart that my primary purpose is to know you and become more like you. Everything else will flow from that. My time is limited, Lord, so help me to make the most of the time you’ve given me.

Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom. Psalm 90:12
