A prayer for Empowerment - Submitting to God’s Spirit

SPIRIT OF GOD,

All during this day, I know I will be challenged to make progress, push through, solve problems, and resist temptation by force of my will and strength, even in relationships. And that will be my downfall. I need you, dear Holy Spirit. Empower me to do only what pleases you. I submit to your control and direction.

It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. Zechariah 4:6
