A prayer about Sabbath - Keeping the day holy

GOD,

This is supposed to be my “Sabbath,” the day of rest. I confess that my usual routine isn’t relaxed or holy. After church, I treat the day like any other and jam it with shopping, socials, sporting events, and more. And my thoughts are far from quiet and disciplined. Help me, Lord, to change this habit. Calm my heart and keep my focus on you today.

Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Exodus 20:8
