LORD,

You have been convicting me lately about helping the desperately poor, in my community and around the world. So many are struggling to live and have little or no hope. Please show me practical ways to get involved personally and through my church, investing energy, time, and money. I have so much, and they have so little.

Oh, the joys of those who are kind to the poor! The LORD rescues them when they are in trouble. Psalm 41:1
