LORD,

One look at my lawn and flower beds this morning reminds me how quickly the seasons pass. The once lush grass and blooming flowers are now withering. Actually, everything on this earth will pass away. But you and your Word “stand forever.” Keep me focused on the eternal, not the temporal, remembering that this life is merely a prelude to the next.

The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever. Isaiah 40:8
