GOD,

You tell me to pray for elected officials and others in authority, but their decisions and policies frustrate and anger me. Many of these leaders seem to be anti-Christian. But I pray for you to bless them, Lord. Guide them to govern your way, and help me to be a good citizen.

Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. 1 Timothy 2:2
