A Prayer About Warnings

When I should proceed with caution

GOD,

The red flags are waving and the caution lights are flashing. Your Word gives many warnings because you love people and want them to take the way that leads to life: “Stay away from this!” “Do not go here!” “This way leads to death.” Instead of taking your words seriously, we move on full speed, to our peril. No wonder the world is in such bad shape. Help me heed your warnings, Lord, to carefully follow your instructions for living.

How I hated discipline! If only I had not ignored all the warnings! Proverbs 5:12
