A Prayer About Vulnerability

When I feel helpless

LOVING FATHER,

I feel so vulnerable right now, totally open, exposed, and helpless. With all that I have been going through, my emotions are raw. Even more than comfort, Lord, right now I need your peace and protection. Please guard me from myself—I’m afraid of what I might do or say—and from others who might try to take advantage of me. I am trusting fully in you because you are all I have.

LORD, who can compare with you? Who else rescues the helpless from the strong? Who else protects the helpless and poor from those who rob them? Psalm 35:10
