A Prayer About Rebelliousness

When I purposely turn away from God

MY HOLY AND MERCIFUL FATHER,

I am painfully aware of how you want me to think and act, but I have disobeyed. I know better and deserve your punishment, but I ask for mercy. I love you, Lord, but I continually fall into the trap of thinking that I know better than you. How foolish I am! Forgive me, Father; please restore our relationship. I submit to your will.

I turned away from God, but then I was sorry. I kicked myself for my stupidity! I was thoroughly ashamed of all I did in my younger days. Jeremiah 31:19
