A Prayer About Power

When I submit to God’s sovereignty

SOVEREIGN GOD,

So much of the world revolves around power—political, economic, social, academic. But you are the almighty, sovereign, and all-powerful God. You created the universe, have caused nations to rise and fall, and have defeated Satan. And Lord, you have changed my life. I humbly submit to you, recognizing that I am powerless without you.

God is awesome in his sanctuary. The God of Israel gives power and strength to his people. Praise be to God! Psalm 68:35
