A Prayer About Peacemaking

When I need to mediate a conflict

JESUS,

Peacemaking is not my strength. In fact, I try to avoid conflict. However, I have been asked to help resolve a dispute between two people I care about. I’m not good at this—please help me. Give me strength to move forward, words to say, and courage to speak the truth. And I pray for each “combatant” in the conflict. May they see the other’s perspective, act in love, and work for a peaceful resolution. I put it all in your hands, dear Savior.

God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God. Matthew 5:9
