A Prayer About Neighbors

When I consider the people who live near me

SAVIOR,

I have many “neighbors”; you say that I am to love them all. This is difficult to do. Often they annoy me by failing to care for their property, parking their cars in front of my house, or making noise late into the night. Please help me see them as people you love and for whom you died. Then show me how I can love my neighbor too.

A second [commandment] is equally important: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments. Matthew 22:39-40
