A Prayer About Maturity

When I analyze my growth in faith

HOLY SPIRIT,

I want to grow up in the faith. The easy and convenient way is to settle for a diet of milk alone. But I have grown and changed, and I want to mature in my relationship with you. This means getting spiritual nourishment through solid preaching, teaching, and Bible study. It also means stretching my faith through teaching others. Work in me, and lead me to lasting growth.

You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food. Hebrews 5:12
