A Prayer About Making Ends Meet

When my bills keep mounting

AWESOME GOD,

I know that you “own the cattle on a thousand hills,” that everything belongs to you. In comparison, the wealthiest person on earth has absolutely nothing. I certainly am far from financially secure, and right now, as I look at the mounting stack of bills, I’m feeling a bit desperate. In fact, I can’t see any way out of this mess. You have trusted me with resources; though they are meager by many standards, you still expect me to be a good steward and use them wisely. So please give me wisdom, Lord, for how I can cut expenses, increase income, and invest for the Kingdom. And please increase my faith. Right now things don’t look promising, but you said that your followers should live by believing and not by seeing. So I need to know that what I am going through now is a faith-stretching experience. And if this is what I need, keep stretching me; I do want to live by faith. So right now I pray for provision, guidance, and faith.
