A Prayer About Discipline

When I need the Father’s correction

ALMIGHTY GOD,

You love me with a perfect love, so why do I resist your guidance and fear your loving discipline? I usually do not flagrantly disobey you, but I am prone to lukewarm indifference. Teach me, dear Father, and lead me, even if the way is rough. I know you want only what is best for me, and I humbly submit to your holy will. Please keep me on your path of righteousness.

Just as a parent disciplines a child, the LORD your God disciplines you for your own good. Deuteronomy 8:5
