A Prayer About Arguing

When I’m having a disagreement

LORD,

I don’t enjoy confrontation and would like to get along with everyone. But I know that won’t always happen. Today I disagreed with a friend, the argument escalated, and we parted upset. Help me, Father, to know when to stand my ground and when to back off. And in this case, to stay true to what I believe and yet keep my friendship. Give me the words to say when I talk with my friend tomorrow. I want to honor you in all I do.
