The Beauty Is In The Making
The Beauty Is in the Making
Quilts are a celebration of love, family, hearth, and home. They cover marriage beds or are hung on walls to bring color to a room. The different patterns often tell a family history. They speak of the warmth of unity and the hope of legacy.
But perhaps the chief beauty behind quilts is in their making. These different—often very different—blocks are patched together to find a unified whole. Sometimes it doesn’t seem like they could ever work together, but once the pattern is complete, there is only warmth and beauty to behold.
We are all patchwork quilts. If we allow Him to, the Master Craftsman can patch us together into a pattern that just works. Love, grace, and forgiveness are the threads that bind, making us whole, healing us once again.
Live a life of forgiveness. The beauty is in the making.
Where there is hatred let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy.
—St. Francis of Assisi
