Peace With Yourself

Peace with Yourself

The war has raged inside you far too long.

Two opponents fighting it out over and over, leaving the landscape of your soul in shambles: the battle between what you say you want versus how you actually live.

Perhaps your battle is between wanting to stay clean and a track record for relapse. Or wanting to love your husband, but constantly tearing him down. Perhaps it’s as simple as wanting to face the pressures of daily life, but never finding the strength.

Admit it. The war inside has broken you. But once you learn to surrender to God, your healing will begin. Only God can reconcile what you say you want with how you live. Through His peace, you can have peace with yourself.

And be whole again.

There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. . . . The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. —Romans 8:1–2, 6
