Opening Up To Others

Opening Up to Others

It’s one thing to open up to God and another to open up to yourself. But to others? Why is that necessary? If God is the one who heals you, why should you risk baring your soul to others only to have it trampled?

First, it’s God who will ultimately heal you, but the primary way He works is through people. Most often, God will heal you through the words and care of people just like you.

Second, remember that healing is about relationship. Many married couples struggle, and then on their first visit to a marriage support group, they’re shocked to discover how many couples share the same challenges they do. The best way to heal your relationships is to start relating to those who need similar healing.

For you to become a person of sound mind and body, you need to be open with others, and they need to be open with you.

We loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well. —1 Thessalonians 2:8
