Making Up with God

It’s hard to stay mad at the one you love forever.

You truly let God have it. You and He have not been on good terms. But after a while, you realize that maybe you were too quick to judge. Maybe you could be more patient with His timing and make more of an effort to understand His ways.

You also remember that you’re no picnic at times either. You’ve ignored Him more than you’d like to admit. You’ve had your own agenda in this relationship. When you’ve owned up to this in the past with Him, He’s forgiven you.

Perhaps He means more to you than you’ve wanted to admit. Perhaps He’s done more for you than, in your anger, you chose to accept. After all, you love Him and He loves you.

You’ve had no more important relationship than the one you’ve had with Him. Maybe it’s time you two made up.

For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
