Hope for a New You

Did you know that Jesus isn’t the only Son of God? The first man, Adam, was called God’s son. And Eve was His daughter. There was a time when men and women were children of God and everything in the world was right.

But now so much is wrong. The wrong is so much easier to spot than what is right, it makes us want to give up. Or protest. Or rebel. Or cry out in pain. How could so much go wrong? What’s the point of even entertaining what is right in a world gone so wrong?

The supreme Son of God, Jesus, came to offer you the opportunity to make peace with God, with others, and with yourself. If you live in that kind of peace, perhaps you can make peace with the wrong you see as well. As a son or daughter of God, you now have a hope that what was wrong can be made right again.

And that’s a hope worth living for.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” —Matthew 5:9
