Fighting For Unity

Fighting for Unity

The silence has lasted days.

Why did you say those horrible things? And what about what your spouse said to you? Not worth repeating. How could two people so much in love try to destroy each other like that?

You’re still sure you were in the right. But you can’t sleep. You can’t concentrate. If you can’t be together, how much does being right matter?

If you want to get a good look at your selfishness, get married. The closer you are to someone, the harder it is to hide it, from them or from yourself. That’s why God is so necessary for a marriage’s success. Only God can help you overcome your selfishness to truly love another person.

The point in any argument isn’t who’s right. It’s that God is the only one who’s right. God wants you both to submit to Him and walk in unity.

Stop fighting each other. Do the romantic thing and fight for your unity.

Love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame. –Song of Songs 8:6
