John 1 - Boys Life Application Study Bible
SO COMPLEX
(1:3-5) Do you ever feel as though your life is so complex that God would never understand? Remember, God created the entire universe—nothing is too complex for him to understand. He created you, he is alive today, and his love is greater than any problem you may face.
HUMILITY
(1:30) Although John the Baptist was a well-known preacher and attracted large crowds, he was content for Jesus to take the higher place (see also John 3:22-36). This is true humility, the basis for greatness in anything we do for God. When you are content to do what God wants you to do and let Jesus be honored for it, God will do great things through you.
